China reports 125 new coronavirus cases, down from 202 on Sunday

Emirates Group, the state-owned holding company that counts the
airline among its assets, has asked staff to consider taking paid and
unpaid leave as it seeks to manage a "measurable slowdown" in its
business, Reuters reported on Sunday, citing an internal company email.
The
group had more than 100,000 employees, including more than 21,000 cabin
crew and 4,000 pilots, at the end of March 2019, the end of its last
financial year.
Major
concerts and events in the United Arab Emirates, an air transit center
that includes tourism and business hub Dubai, have been canceled or
postponed as the coronavirus spreads in the Gulf.
The airline
industry's largest global body IATA on Monday urged Middle Eastern
governments to provide support to airlines as they try to manage the

The infected person had returned from Italy two weeks ago, and was tested Sunday night for the virus along with another person who showed symptoms.
The first person tested positive for the virus; the second one tested negative, but will remain quarantined for 14 days as a precaution.The infected patient's family members did not test positive for the virus. However, Jordanian Health Minister Saad Jaber added that those who were in contact with the patient will be quarantined for 14 days, according to Al-Arabiya.He added that Jordan is fully prepared for the coronavirus outbreak and has the confirmed case fully quarantined and isolated.According to Jaber, the patient is stable.
Last week, Jordan's state carrier Royal Jordanian Airlines suspended
flights between Amman and Rome until further notice, and reduced flights
to major Asian destinations.
