ER -alfaglukosidaasi-inhibiittoreista 2019 llä koetetaan jarruttaa viruksen N-glykosylaation hankkimista.

  • This gene encodes the first enzyme in the N-linked oligosaccharide processing pathway. The enzyme cleaves the distal alpha-1,2-linked glucose residue from the Glc(3)-Man(9)-GlcNAc(2) oligosaccharide precursor. This protein is located in the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum. Defects in this gene are a cause of type IIb congenital disorder of glycosylation (CDGIIb). Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.     MOGS mannosyl oligosakkaridi- glukosidaasia on SARS-2 viruksen nsp7  proteiinin  interaktioproteiini.
    SARS2   nsp7 ei vaikuta  hankkivan itse glykosylaatiota ja sen rakenne on vajaata valkuaista, siitä puuttuu P ja Y ja  sillä on tumaan kuljettava motiivi.
    N-glykosylaation aikana esiintyvä proteiini UGGT2 on myös SARS2- viruksen ORF8:n interaktioproteiini UDP-glukoosi gp glykosyylitransferaasi 2. ja toimii ERQC:ssä CLR/CNX syklin  ohessa.  Spike proteiini välttää kalretikuliinia.
    Calnexiini on Spikeproteiinin interaktiossa  siten että spike saa glykosylaation ja laskostuksensa ja läpäiseen  ERQC kontrollin.
